Asola Advanced and Automotive Solar Systems GmbH Quantum's affiliate Asola, is a leading German designer and manufacturer of high quality solar Photovoltaic (PV) modules for residential, commercial and automotive applications. Asola, through its team, represents more than 20 years of experience in the solar energy industry. Asola produces standard solar PV modules in various outputs from 50 watts to 250 watts and also provides customized solutions, such as spherical modules designed for integration into car roofs and solar modules for sliding sun roofs. Asola modules couple high efficiency with high output. Depending on the customer requirements, they build high quality modules using 4-, 5, 6, or 6+ mono-crystalline or multi-crystalline silicon cells. Asola modules are certified per IEC 61215, IEC 61730 and authorized by the German TUV. A number of modules are also certified to UL 1703 and listed under Quantum Solar in the CEC's (California Energy Commission) website of approved photovoltaic equipment. Quantum and Asola have expanded the German production line to 45 MW and plan a 45 MW solar module production line in Southern California.
