Fisker Automotive, co-founded and formed in 2007 by Quantum and Fisker Coachbuild, LLC, is led by world renowned automobile designer Henrik Fisker, offers a line of environmentally friendly cars based on cutting-edge, innovative plug-in hybrid electric vehicle technology. For the past 2 years, Quantum has been working with Fisker Automotive on the design and development of the Q-Drive system for use in Fisker Automotive's first production car, the Fisker Karma. Fisker Automotive anticipates production of 15,000 vehicles annually by 2011, with pricing to start under $100,000. Fisker Automotive expects to begin deliveries of the Fisker Karma in the 3rd quarter of 2010.
The Q-Drive was developed by Quantum exclusively for Fisker Automotive and the Fisker Karma. This all new plug-in Q-Drive chassis layout allowed Fisker Automotive to design the Fisker Karma with uncompromised proportions.
