Reliability

Natural gas is one of the most plentiful energy sources on earth. The world has more than 6 quadrillion cubic feet of proven reserves—with more than 338 trillion in the USA alone. 98% of the natural gas used in the United States comes from North America. CNG is not only plentiful, but also efficient and cost effective. Burning natural gas produces 25% fewer greenhouse gases and pollutants than oil, and it’s historically cheaper at the pump.

Technological advances from Quantum have helped make natural gas a viable alternative to gas or diesel. One of the only issues has been how to get it from the source to the user. Now Quantum has a solution for that, too: Q-VP650 (Quantum Virtual Pipeline Trailers).

Q-VP650 is a complete system. Trucks pick up raw natural gas at drilling sites, take it away to be filtered, and then return it to power trucks at the drilling sites or for delivery to CNG fueling stations all over North America. Tanks on modular pallets or complete 40’ trailers are dropped off full and picked up empty, and then the whole process starts over again.

Natural gas is so abundant that drillers often burn it off to get to the oil below. It’s called “flaring.” Drillers burn off so much natural gas that you can actually see the flares from space. It’s a tremendous waste of energy.

Q-VP650 will give producers a new revenue stream. Now instead of burning away natural gas they’ll offer it on the open market, giving users the price break that naturally follows increased supply. Q-VP650 will also provide a backup plan to pipeline infrastructure. When a pipeline goes offline, Q-VP650 will be there to mitigate any disruption in supply.
